About Me:

I was born and raised in Florida and learned to play the piano from my mother who was a concert pianist. Music always filled our home and the joy it brought me was contagious. This made me want to share this gift with others. I started teaching in 1991 in Fl and have been teaching here at Hoyt Music Studios since 2009. I have taught ages ranging from 3 years old - adult.

I believe each student learns in their own unique way, at their own pace. My goal is to adapt to each individual's learning style and ability, instilling that same love for the piano that I have. I try to maintain a relaxed atmosphere as I teach, which I feel encourages my students to progress while maintaining the excitement of playing such a beautiful instrument.

I also strongly feel that good communication with the parents of my younger students is tremendously important so I try to take a few moments after each lesson to explain what was learned and what needs to be practiced at home.

My hope is that each of my students truly enjoy the learning process and gain the confidence they need to express themselves through music, sharing their gift with others.
